Europe’s Largest Medical Database (EDS/APHP) uses Label to Boost Al Expert’s Capabilities

Imageens is thrilled to announce the establishment of a strategic partnership with The Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP), Europe’s leading university hospital.

This partnership focuses on the joint development and validation of LABEL software designed to enhance the interoperability, quality, and utilization of imaging data within AP-HP’s Health Data Warehouse (EDS).

AP-HP and Imageens have harnessed their expertise to make vast amounts of medical imaging data accessible to clinician-researchers and engineers. These data serve as a foundation for the development of medical decision support algorithms in diagnostic, therapeutic, and predictive clinical contexts.

The wealth of medical imaging data generated throughout the care of AP-HP patients holds immense potential, but its usefulness hinges on standardization and structure. Whether originating from computed tomography (CT) scans, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), positron emission tomography (PET), ultrasound, or conventional radiology, these data require meticulous management for quality improvement and consistency.

Through this partnership initiated in fall 2020, AP-HP and Imageens embarked on the co-development of LABEL software which incarnates the transformative power of artificial intelligence by automatically labeling and classifying extensive volumes of imaging data. The outcome is an accelerated process for data reuse in studies and research initiatives.

By aligning with Imageens, AP-HP not only secures access to the innovative software solution but also gains the privilege of leveraging annotated and classified imaging data. This valuable resource represents significant time savings and heightened data quality.

For Imageens, the partnership presents an avenue to enhance and refine the LABEL software version. The startup, authorized exclusively to work with de-identified imagery data, is committed to validating the software’s efficiency and reliability through large-scale applications. This collaboration positions Imageens to eventually offer the solution to other healthcare and research institutions, enhancing the broader industry landscape.
