LABEL Unveiled as the “Ali Baba” Cave’s New Key by SIH Solution Magazine

05/08/2025

In a nod to the famed tale of “Ali Baba,” SIH Solution Magazine has recognized Imageens’ innovative software, LABEL, as the modern key to unlocking the treasures within the data cave. Similar to Ali Baba’s magical phrase, LABEL is transforming health data from an untapped resource into a wealth of valuable insights. This recognition underscores the groundbreaking potential of LABEL in reshaping the landscape of healthcare data management.

Below is a summary of the article:

In the realm of healthcare, the treasure trove of health data often remains untapped due to its unstructured nature. In an analogy akin to Ali Baba’s need for “Sesame” to access treasures, health data warehouses, like the AP-HP’s PACS with over 35 million examinations, hold immense value for research, innovation, and hospital management.

However, the challenge lies in transforming this wealth of data into usable insights. This challenge is being addressed by the Label software, a collaborative effort between the of AP-HP and AI expert company, Imageens.

Label’s innovation is centered on using AI to enhance data understanding. Developed in partnership with AP-HP, Label employs data characterization algorithms specifically tailored for medical imaging. These algorithms categorize data based on technical criteria such as image type, format, quality, and body part. This categorization facilitates data filtering and the creation of research cohorts. AP-HP’s tools, including “Cohort 360,” utilize these filtered categories to identify patients and aid cohort development.

Traditionally, AI’s focus was on improving care software, but Label showcases a new approach. By enhancing data supply prior to research, it expands the realm of AI’s impact. This collaboration signifies AP-HP’s commitment to data mastery and visibility enhancement.

The collaboration between AP-HP and Imageens proves highly effective. Martin Hilka, the platform’s director, acknowledges the value of their partnership, describing it as a “facilitating and transversal tool” that enriches both entities culturally and technically.
