Gordons Syndrome Study

05/08/2025

Our Gordons Syndrome study is looking at a group of patients with Gordon Syndrome, which is a genetically inherited disorder of potassium homeostasis.

These patients have salt-dependent hypertension and hyperkalemia and has an incidence of 1 in 1 million.

We are comparing a cohort of Gordon’s syndrome patients (n=7) to a group of patients with Gitelman syndrome (n=8), which is the phenotypic inverse of Gordon’s syndrome.

We will be comparing both groups to matched healthy volunteer, specifically looking at their cardiac phenotype via CMR.
