Unveiling a novel approach for cardiovascular risk detection

By assessing arterial stiffness with our proprietary technology

See Clinical Evidence

Aiming to transform and save patients lives, we strive to develop a novel approach for cardiovascular risk stratification.

Aging in health and disease

We age in
curves not in lines

We age in spurts, driven by acute events that gradually increase arterial stiffness. It could be ten years of chronic stress, five years of obesity, or a decade of smoking. These factors create a gap between vascular age and chronological age — helping explain why some people age well, while others do not.
“A man is as old as his arteries.”

Clinical approach

Detecting
early vascular aging

Detect early markers of subclinical vascular alteration in aging to inform proactive decision-making and engage in personalized treatment strategies for the long-term health and quality of life of your patients.

Biomarker

Aortic stiffness leads
to vascular aging

Aortic stiffness is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease and an independent predictor of cardiovascular mortality.

Systemic impact of high central vascular stiffness

Changes in aortic stiffness have high pathophysiological relevance, as they can lead to increased aortic pulse pressure and cardiac afterload, potentially resulting in damage to multiple organs.
Heart
Myocardial Dysfunction, Heart Failure, Left Arterial Dysfunction and Reduced Coronary Flow Reserve
Brain
Subclinical Brain, Pathology Cognitive
and Impairment / Dementia
Liver
Insulin Resistance and NASH
Kidney
Chronic Kidney Disease
Testicles
Testosterone Deficiency
Placenta-Fetal
Pre-Eclampsia Intrauterine Growth Restriction

The challenge of predicting such damage lies in the ability to personalize the quantification of the earliest signs of arterial stiffness alterations.

Until now, existing approaches (such as applanation tonometry) have offered only a global screening of arterial stiffness, providing an estimate along the carotid–femoral artery path without accounting for the often tortuous anatomy of the vessels.

That is exactly where our technology comes into play. We provide the most validated and precise stiffness biomarkers using MRI imaging.

How we do it
The core of our biomarker

Measurement of ascending aortic distensibility by MRI

Ascending Aortic Distensibility (AAD) measures the stiffness of the central arteries —the strongest predictor of cardiovascular events over 8.5 years in low- to intermediate-risk patients, using traditional risk factors.
Prime determinant of cardiovascular efficiency
Integrator of individual CV age and health over the lifespan
Biomarker of CV risk: early subclinical disease, primary and secondary prevention
Reversibility through therapeutic and non-therapeutic programs
Measured by MRI: unique non-invasive assessment of the central arterial system
Role of Our Biomarker

In Early Vascular Aging

Measure cardiovascular age – early marker of infraclinical vascular alteration in aging. It is a concise way to sum up the overall health risk of your heart and blood vessels.
Role of Our Biomarker

In Cardiovascular Risk Prediction

Arterial stifness is an independent predictor of all cause mortality and incident cardiovascular event. It is the strongest predictor of CV events at 8.5 years for intermediate/low risk patients using traditional risk factors.
Role of Our Biomarker

In Anti-aging Prevention Program

Evaluate prevention program efficacy in anti-aging interventions.
Role of Our Biomarker

In Aortic Aneurysm Diseases

Predict the risk of patients aortas rupturing and help doctors decide when to pre- emptively operate their patients.
Role of Our Biomarker

In Coronary Artery Diseases

Predict the recurrence of ischemic events in premature coronary artery diseases.

Beyond these programs, we aim to fully leverage our platform’s potential by building a diversified portfolio of assets across various clinical applications
